Black Bird Studio

Our Blackbird Studio space is annexed to Historic Stables and Bakehouse from the 1880's. Former guises have seen this space morph from a workman's "lean to" and stable hands storage area, a manly tool shed, a musical repair shop, an Artist studio and finally converted into a groovy atmospheric studio espace dans la ville; "space in the city".

Your home away from home comprises of a sunny courtyard leading through to your own atelier, complete with En-suite, kitchenette and living space. Comfortably fitted out with modern amenities as well as an eclectic collection of one off pieces.
You will enjoy the Queen size bed, Chaise lounge and dining space inside, as well as alfresco seating in the courtyard.
All linen is provided as well as a collection of provisions to get your holiday started on a homely, welcome note.

A petite and comfortable private stay for guests who want to be out exploring the main attractions of Hobart. Within walking distance to local public transport 2 mins, and only 20 mins walk to the city and waterfront as well as the popular Salamanca precinct & MONA ferry terminal.

This studio space will suit single travellers or a a couple.
All on one level it's easy access. Styled as our Artists studio in the city, this compact "bed sit" will give you a cosy and well priced place to call home while you visit Hobart.

There are great cafes within a 5 min walk, Gourmet deli for provisions as well as a local village collection of shops, including a Post Office, Hairdresser & Beauty therapist, Butcher, A Bakery, Health food shop and Chemist.
The Cascade Hotel is a 10 min walk away for liquid refreshments or serious Pub Grub.

We have provided a kitchenette fit out to allow for a self contained stay. There is a fridge, microwave, kettle and a toaster and utensils, so food prep will be easy.
Please be aware there is no stove or cook top.

However, if your a fan of the fry pan, just let us know and we can sort out an optional cook top for your stay.
We know you can easily create a feast from the local deli to augment your forays into the city for great eating options.

Local eats (with in 500 m) include 2 cafes, a fish / seafood restaurant, A French restaurant, Pub grub, Thai / Asian mix as well as an IGA and gourmet Deli.
