At Big Little Things Australia, our way of making a positive difference in the world is by doing many good “little things” that we believe count towards making “big things” happen. By actively encouraging a culture of inclusion and demonstrating ways that we can be flexible in our approach and environmental design, we believe it will support a future that values and embraces ageing and diversity positively.

We aim to make a difference using a retail platform that incorporates inclusive and dementia-friendly practices in our pop-up shop approach. We provide a shopping experience with a difference that aims to facilitate and demonstrate ideas to support a culture of inclusion and positive ageing. We encourage all residents, staff, families and friends to be involved in order to enrich the experience. We also build on feedback we receive from individuals in aged care communities along the way to continue evolving our service.

Parts of the proceeds from our shops are also donated to benefit local communities and charities. We are proud to support local causes and endeavour to link communities by keeping people informed about selected projects that exist in our wider community.

Services include:

Pop-up shop experience for residential aged care homes and retirement villages;

Community "pop-in" shopping service for community groups, not-for-profits and other businesses; and

Facilitation with retail staff and volunteers wishing to incorporate dementia-friendly and health-related inclusive practices into their shops.
