I called my business "Shrinkwrap Psychology" because I wanted a unique name which was memorable and I like the inference of the word wrap and having people's emotional needs covered. I am a professional but I am also a human being with a sense of humour: when struggling with depression, anxiety or trauma, finding a moment of joy or humour can be priceless.
I went to university for 6 years and have a Masters in Clinical Psychology, I am registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and am a member of the Australian Psychological Society's College of Clinical Psychologists.
I have spent my entire career working in rural and regional Australia and I am passionate about providing much-needed mental health services to country Australians.
I am proud to say that I am someone who has grown up in the country, gone away to study and then returned home to give something back to my community.
I offer goal-focussed psychological strategies for people with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, social issues and behavioural problems.
I have a background in child and adolescent psychology but I also have a keen interest in working with adults, so I will see anyone between the ages of 0 and 110.
I have 20 years of clinical experience, two young sons, three step-daughters, and six grandchildren so I have covered a wide spectrum of experiences. I also know first-hand the benefits and challenges of living in a rural community and the importance of confidentiality.
I work primarily under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative, which enables me to provide a free service when people get a Mental Health Treatment Plan from their GP. People are then able to access up to 10 therapeutic sessions. I am also registered to provide services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

I am very fortunate to work in a profession that I love and I hope that this comes through in the work that I do. I look forward to seeing you soon!
