Bendigo Tramways has been in operation since June 1890. Initially operating as public transport until 1972, Bendigo Tramways now operates as a tourist service.

There is no better way to see the sights of Bendigo than aboard a Vintage Talking Tram. Hop on at any stop and be delighted by the wide streetscapes and grand architecture of Bendigo as your tram tells you entertaining stories about a city founded on one of the world’s richest goldfields.

The Dja Dja Wurrung Tram: Discover the traditions of Bendigo's first people and hear a story more than 40,000 years in the making. Departs from Central Deborah Gold Mine at 10am each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Anzac Centenary Tram: Through stories of bravery, resilience and courage in the face of adversity, the Anzac Centenary Tram explores the impact of World War One on the local Bendigo community. Departs from Central Deborah Gold Mine at 10am each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

A visit to Australia’s oldest operating Tram Depot: You’ll be in awe as you explore the 1903 depot, dwarfed by the many trams which live there, each with their own story to tell and see first-hand the craftsmanship that is involved in restoring trams to their former glory.
