Beaudesert Frame & Truss

Arthur McDonald was a busy registered builder when he soon saw the advantages of nail plated roof trusses. Originally in 1979/80, he was manufacturing trusses using ply gussets, which was quite a forward thinking initiative in those days. The sale of these trusses was increasing to the point where Arthur decided to ‘bite the bullet’, take on a block of land in the ‘new’ industrial estate in Beaudesert and build a dedicated factory to produce this innovative product as well as pre nailed wall frames.

Arthur’s son Fred became involved in the business in 1981 the same year the factory was built. They were still running a building construction business as well as a truss plant until Arthur retired around 2000 and the decision was made to close the building side and concentrate on the truss and frame plant. Pryda came on board with the design and layout of our new factory and are still supporting BFT today.

Today the business is still family owned and operated with Fred as an Estimator/Detailer, his wife Julie as Office Manager and their daughter Jayde as an Estimator/Detailer. Beaudesert Frame & Truss produce roof and floor trusses along with pre-fabricated wall frames.

Beaudesert Frame & Truss is and has been an Authorised Pryda Fabricator and Masterbuilders member for more than 30 years.
