BEAM All Abilities All Inclusive Movement to Music

BEAM is an inclusive all abilities movement to music group designed around neuromotor exercise techniques. Neuromotor exercise, often referred to as functional training, incorporates proprioceptive training utilising agility and balance techniques helping improve coordination and motor patterns for participants. Combining components of neuromotor exercise training with aerobic exercise as typically seen in dance and group fitness classes will have ample benefits for participants.
Our program is aimed to promote fun, friendships and fitness as we believe these are essential values. Music is known to have therapeutic benefits. The use of music will aid the inclusion of all class members creating a fun and safe atmosphere for all participants. Classes will be run in a safe and controlled environment with trained teachers and assistants. There will be opportunities for our participants to undertake performances in the local community however there is no pressure or expectation to perform. BEAM is a not-for-profit organisation looking forward to establishing a community not only for participants, but for families as a whole.
