Be HAPPY Yoga focuses on helping children to be the best version of themselves. I will help children to learn to be in control of both their minds and emotions. This will help those students who have difficulties focusing and concentrating both in the classroom and at home. They will learn to be able to recognise their feelings and regulate them. Learning this skill will help them to cope with anger, frustration and overreacting or acting on impulse. Children learn best through inquiry which means they need to be able to have courage to take risks. I will teach students the skills to cope with anxiety, stress or worry and to have resilience and confidence when experiencing situations for the first time. Students will learn to be able to control their over sensory difficulties that so often distract them and other students, impacting on their learning and success at school. The students will be given opportunities to develop their confidence and self esteem by forming relationships based on mutual engagement and purposeful interactions. They will learn social and emotional skills whilst exploring their creativity and imagination with lots of laughter and smiles. Most importantly they will experience being genuinely happy and active whilst having FUN!

The skills and techniques focused on during classes will depend on the needs of the children within the class. They will vary from connection with themselves, social interaction, playfulness, dance, movement, balance, strength, stretching through yoga poses, acroyoga, yoga journeys and games, breathing techniques, mindfulness, relaxation and meditation.
