More about Barwon Estuary Project

The Barwon Estuary Project (an initiative of the Barwon Heads Sustainability Group) has commenced and you are all invited to participate.
We are currently recording observations of Estuary flora and fauna from the Barwon Heads bridge to Lake Connewarre on www.bowerbird.org.au .
Bowerbird is a website managed by Museum Victoria and feeds into the Atlas of Living Australia. If you have relevant photos you’d like to share, please register at the Barwon Estuary Project on the bowerbird website and upload your photos.
Throughout 2016, photos will be selected to form part of our forthcoming publication, Journal of the Barwon Estuary.
As well as using photos from the website, we will be seeking contributions of art works, poetry and stories. There will be several workshops to promote creative responses to the Estuary. The first of these will be a Bird Photography Workshop held as part of the Festival of the Sea in March.
For further information, or to join the project group, email Margaret Griffith from the Barwon Heads Sustainability Group: barwonestuary@gmail.com
