Barahineban

Barahineban, the youngest of the 4 traditional residential colleges at the University of Newcastle, is celebrating it's 15th anniversary this year (2015).
Two time winner of the College of the Year award, and affectionately referred to as Bara, it is home to around 150 students each year, with roughly 50% of those students being 2nd+ years and 50% being 1st years.
With studio apartment style rooms, Bara rooms can be shared by 2 friends, a couple, or just one single person. We are self-catered, and our rooms are equipped with private bathrooms and kitchens, as well as air-conditioning and Wifi.
Bara is split into 5 blocks, each with its own Residential Mentor. We also have 2 Event Officers, 2 Academic Mentors and 2 Health & Sport Officers.
We pride ourselves on being a place of balance, somewhere you can study hard as well as make friends, play sport and attend events.
Bara is a safe, fun-loving environment, where everyone is welcome.
