WHAT WE BELIEVE
Worship
Our worship is simple, joyous and alive. As in the New Testament church, it consists of singing, Bible reading, prayers, teaching, fellowship and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Communion
Each Sunday we celebrate Communion. By sharing in the Lord’s Supper, we remember how important Jesus’ death and resurrection is to our faith and we come close to Him for renewal. Communion is a very powerful and meditative part of our worship.
Baptism
Churches of Christ follow the New Testament practice of immersion of those believers who make a response to Christ. Baptism signifies our death to the old life and our rising to a new life in Christ.
Ministry
Churches of Christ believe in the ‘priesthood of all believers’, that is we all have equal access to God through Christ. All Christians are called to minister, to actively share their faith, serve each other and the whole church. Each has a special ministry according to the gifts and abilities God has given us and is expressed through involvement in worship and leadership of groups. Pastoral oversight is shared between the Minister, elders and pastoral carers of small groups.
