Our Facebook page is intended to provide a hub for responsible community engagement that celebrates the daily life of our school. We proactively support participation in social media to develop digital citizenship throughout our community.

We reserve the right but assume no obligation, to remove posts and potentially block individuals who breach our online protocols at any time. In particular if their post or profile picture is racist, sexist, abusive, homophobic, profane, violent, obscene, spam, advocating illegal activity, contains falsehoods, are off-topic, libel, incite, threaten or make ad hominem attacks on students, DEC employees, guests or other individuals as well as any other posts deemed inappropriate or that we believe do not align with our values, standards, policies and guidelines.

While we encourage interaction from Facebook users we are not responsible for comments or wall postings made by visitors to the page. Comments posted do not in any way reflect the opinions or policies of our school or the Department of Education and Communities.

When commenting please show respect for all users. Comments are subject to Facebook's Terms of Use and Code of Conduct. Remember your name and photo will be seen next to your comment and visible to our school community.

Please note that the Department of Education and Communities advises teachers to ensure they do not blur the line between professional and personal life. Becoming a Facebook friend with a parent may result in children accessing their account. Comments made online can be easily misunderstood and result in complaints made to the principal. Please do not ask to friend staff on Facebook as refusal often offends.
