Balga Friday Markets

The Balga Friday Markets has been operating for over 36 years. The markets is run by volunteers with money raised going back into the local community. If you wish to sell at these markets below is all the information you need to know.

The cost is $15- per bay, and you pay before entry into the market site -the bay sizes are about one and half the size of a normal car park space. Buyers are welcome from 8am to 12 noon and it is free entry.

When you attend the market (for the first time) we would ask that you do not attend until 7am or a little after, and on receiving a ticket from one of our volunteers, you would remain at the rear of the market area until our volunteers come and get you to tell you where to go.

We provide the bay and you would bring along your own table & chair and any other structure you need to display your items, and as the bays are quite large your vehicle could be kept within the boundaries of your bay, or you could relocate it to another location away from the market, but on site.

The maximum speed limit whilst in the market site area is 8 KPH

Where sellers wish to sell fruit & vegetables it must be locally grown uncut, and by agreement with market management where seller details are recorded in register required for City of Stirling appraisal. Pre-prepared (cooked) food must be City of Stirling approved and details provided to market management who will decided if such produce can be sold and if so, under what circumstances, again details will be recorded in a register.

The chain gate to the market site is locked at 8am and does not re-open until 11am ( as a vehicular movement safety measure)

There are toilets on site and we operate a canteen from which you can purchase tea/coffee/cool drinks & light snacks.The Friday markets is open to sellers from 6.30am to 12noon and members of the public from 8am to 12 noon every Friday morning (except Good Friday).
