Backwoods Gallery

Located in Collingwood, Victoria, Backwoods Gallery was founded in October of 2010 by artists Alexander Mitchell, Ghostpatrol, James Reka, Rone & Meggs.

Originally a platform for the development and promotion of the emerging Australian street art scene, Backwoods Gallery has matured into an international community of some of the world’s leading artists.

Backwoods Gallery presents work by artists who typically have a background in street art, graffiti and illustration and is a place where maverick artists can present their work, on their own terms, to a like minded audience.

We’re proud of the valuable cultural resource that we’ve created for Melbourne as well as the careers of the artists that we’ve helped develop.
