Osteopathy

Osteopaths are primary health care practitioners that are trained to treat your muscular, joint aches and pains. Common conditions we can help with include:

We have extensive knowledge and understanding of how the body moves and functions, having completed at least 5 years of full time university studies. We recognise that pain and stiffness can result from injury, poor posture or muscular imbalance. We also acknowledge additional factors such as poor sleeping and sitting position as well as workstation ergonomics as playing a part in persistent back and neck pain. Your health is important to us, so we’ll take a whole body approach to treatment.

Our focus is for you to understand why your pain is there and what we both can do about it. Treatment is entirely ‘hands on’, and can help you overcome problems.

We are equipped to provide rehabilitation post surgery, after sporting injuries and post pregnancy to restore your health and keep you in better shape. We can work with you to develop a rehabilitative strengthening program to suit people of all ages and abilities in order to get you back to health as soon as possible.

Our Osteopaths-
All our Osteopaths are registered and members of the Australian Osteopathic Association (AOA). Our osteopaths are highly trained in treating a variety of muscular, joint aches and pains and are available for consultation by appointment only. We treat people of all ages and abilities and are registered with third party insurers such as Worksafe, Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Department of Veterans affairs (DVA). No referral is required to see our Osteopaths unless you are claiming treatment through a third party insurer such as those listed above. We are able to provide treatment under Medicare for those eligible for the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program.


Myotherapy

Myotherapy is a hands-on whole body therapy that addresses the soft tissue structures of the body. Techniques such as soft tissue manipulation (massage), muscle energy techniques, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cupping, stretching and therapeutic exercises are applied to specific muscles and joints to help improve blood flow, reduce congestion, and promote healing. Myotherapy is great for reducing stress and tension , soothing general muscular aches and pain, or addressing sporting injuries.

Myotherapists are also trained to administer dry-needling, electro-mechanical stimulation, prescriptive stretches and exercises in conjunction with the techniques described above.

Appointments
Morning, afternoon and evening appointments are available Monday to Friday and some Saturday morning appointments are available by request. Please call the clinic for specific practitioner’s availability and appointment times.

HICAPS and EFTPOS
For those who have private health insurance and are covered for Osteopathic treatment under their ancillary cover, HICAPS facilities are available for on the spot claiming. This means that you are only required to pay the ‘gap’ amount that the health fund does not cover. Eftpos facilities are also available. We can not accept Cash Payments.
