The benefits and love for carrying and holding my children close, and seeing these needs of other parents, has lead me to utilise this passion and tool to help other parents to safely, comfortably and most importantly to love carrying and keeping their little ones close.

A baby wearing consultant is someone who has experience and education regarding safe and optimal baby wearing and is familiar with most types of slings and carriers.

A baby wearing consultant gives one-to-one advice or group workshops/sessions to parents about choosing and wearing a range of different slings and baby carriers.


Packages and prices include:

Individually tailored sessions (one on one):
30 min session: $15
60 min session: $35

Introduction to baby wearing****
(includes benefits of baby wearing, and basic carries using a stretchy, woven wrap, mei tai, ring sling and SCC):
One on one: $35 (1 hr)
Group (up to 5 people): $80 (1.5 hrs)
Group (up to 10 people): $120 (1.5 hrs)

Woven wraps****
(introduction about woven wraps in general, sizes, and learning techniques with some basic front carries, hip and back carries).
One on one: $35 (1 hr)
Group (up to 5 people): $90 (1.5 hrs)
Group (up to 10 people): $120 (1.5 hrs)

**** Please note the above are demonstration times, if you are wanting to practice and have help hands on hand learning extra time will need to be allocated at $15 per half an hr for individuals and $20 for groups.
If the consultation is not held at my Northgate facility, it will be an extra $5 per 5 km travel both ways rounded down.

Any of the above sessions can be tailored to your needs. Contact for travel expenses. Workshops are as costs above, and can be tailored to suit the requirements of the group.
Groups for example and not limited to:
-Mothers groups.
-Hospital staff, allied health, baby shops etc.
-Baby showers.

Qualifications include completing the 'baby wearing consultancy' workshop hosted by UK's school of baby wearing. Including 4 years experience baby wearing my two children in many different styles of carriers/carries.

NOTE: At the time this was written, there is currently no Australian recognised accredited baby wearing consultancy course or program. The course I completed was a basic consultancy course, if you are unsure whether you can baby wear or your baby/child can be worn, please check with a medical/health professional first. Or enquire with a advanced baby wearing consultant (contact The baby wearing practice-external to adelaide).

NOTE: At this stage, Babywearing Co is helping to fill a gap in Adelaide (location North east) to assist those who cannot go to a meet (or it doesn't meet the needs) or a retailer for help choosing a carrier/learning how to use it. Being a stay at home mother, this business has limitations in the amount of carriers to try, and services provided, and costs involved in the service are to assist in expanding its capabilities and providing more options.
