Paul and Samantha along with John and Lorraine Banks founded Baaramu White Dorper Stud after a long history in the dairy industry. After careful research we discovered the only way forward was White Dorpers. We found that even on a relatively small Gippsland property of 35 acres, with the right breeding and selection process, a successful venture was achievable.
We have found this breed of sheep to be highly fertile, interesting and a joy to work with. The mothers have proven themselves to be extremely protective of their offspring which they need to be with a high fox population in our area. Shearing is no longer an issue as a good shedding bloodline along with strong growth for the first 6-8 months was a top priority in our initial selection.
