More about Australind Christian Reformed Church

Our church is part of the family of Christian Reformed Churches of Australia. Our congregation exists to know and understand God, glorify Him, and enjoy Him forever. We seek to understand Him from His Word. We seek to glorify Him in life and worship. We seek to enjoy Him now and for eternity.

If you’re wanting to come to know God for the first time, or discover His Beauty afresh, or if you simply wish to participate in some of our activities, we would love to meet you in person! If you would like to know more about any of the activities of our church, or if you have a need for which we might be able to offer help, please feel free to contact our pastors, Craig van Echten and Peter Kossen.

Some of our church activities are:

Fellowship Groups
There are presently three small groups which meet regularly for fellowship and the study of God’s word. Two meet in Australind and one in Bunbury. These groups meet every second Wednesday in the home of a member.

Ladies Mid week Bible Study.
The Ladies mid week KYB (Know your Bible) Bible Study group meets every Thursday from 1.00pm to 2.00pm at the homes of one of the ladies. All are welcome.

Ladies Book Club.
The Ladies Book Club meets once a month, generally on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm at the home of one of the ladies. We are currently discussing Disciplines of a Godly Woman, written by Barbara Hughes. All are welcome.

Catechism Classes
Catechism classes are available for children and youth to receive instruction in the Christian faith and are held on Tuesday evenings at the church. This generally commences in the year the children turn 13 and continues until they have completed the Senior Catechism class. Public Profession of Faith may take place at the end of this instruction process or during it.

There is also a new believers class for new adult believers. Please contact Craig for more details.

Sunday School
Sunday School is a time of worship, learning and fun for children 3-4 years old, pre-schoolers and Years 1 and 2. Together with teachers and helpers the children participate in prayer and singing to the Lord, contribute to an offering, and learn from the many Bible stories and activities. The children attend the morning service for a short time and then leave for Sunday School.

Youth Group
Youth Group meets once a month generally at the Church but also at other locations for a time of fun and fellowship. Bible study, games and activities are part of the program. Young people aged 13 upwards are very welcome to join.
