The Australian-Italian Festival is held in Ingham, Queensland, Australia every August (2nd-3rd) and celebrates the rich Italian culture and history in the Hinchinbrook district. The two-day Festival, held at the award-winning Tyto Wetlands, boasts authentic Italian cuisine, wine and entertainment. There are events and activities that will keep everyone intrigued such as the Greasy Pole, Spaghetti Eating and Grape Stomping competitions, local buskers, Italian cinema, helicopter rides, merchandise stalls, classic car and motorbike display, amusement rides and local wetland tours. Other than the festival held over the weekend, there are many events held during the months and weeks leading up to the festival. These vary from a Hair and Fashion show, Model Search, Family Fun Run, Regional Dinner and many other exciting events that are yet to be released.
