The Alliance was originally formed by representatives from the Queensland Industrial Hemp Association, Northern Rivers and NSW Industrial Hemp Associations and the Dungog Growers Group as these organisations were working successfully together, sharing knowledge and supporting each other in industry development. In early 2016 the Alliance determined to extend a membership invitation to all Australian Hemp farmers, Associations, Groups and Businesses to work together to strengthen the Australian hemp industry.

President
Klara Marosszeky has been involved in Australian industrial hemp research and farming for 17 years and for 16 years in hemp building materials research. She has a background in environmental management, organisations and education. She is also the secretary of Northern Rivers Hemp Inc

Vice-president:
Matt Stapleton brings his administrative experience, industry connections and knowledge to the AIHA, providing an important network of contacts across agriculture and government. Following a successful seagoing career with the Australian government and P&O Maritime Services, Matt has also been a foundational figure in the Queensland hemp industry.

Secretary:
Marg Corcoran has a public sector background in industry policy and regulation, as well as extensive small business experience. She is currently admin manager to her partner’s plumbing business which has recently expand to include a hemp masonry (hempcrete) installation service. She has had a long term interest in environmental solutions and sustainable development.

Treasurer:
Bob Doyle is a long term advocate for sustainable farming and regional development, Bob comes from a multi-generational farming family in the NSW Hunter Valley. With many years of involvement in the Landcare network, the Dairy Industry and the Beef Industry, he is keen to establish a strong agronomic knowledge base to support the development of a viable Australian Industrial Hemp farming and processing industry.

Public Officer:
James Vosper gained a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Environmental Management from the University of North London and is a Fellow of The Royal Geographic Society. James has a long history of involvement with the environment and the benefits that hemp crops can deliver. In 2013 James trained as a Climate Friendly Facilitator with Al Gore.
