Australian Anglo Indian Association (Inc)

In 1987/88 there were approximately 12,000 Anglo-Indians living in Western Australia, most of whom lived in the metropolitan area having arrived in this state over the last fifty years.

In 1987 it was felt that there was a strong need for the community to come together to provide and promote social, sporting, cultural and recreational activities among members and to engage in those activities that offer financial and other welfare assistance to the disadvantages in the community.

With this as background The Association was formally incorporated on 17 November 1988 and at that time was the only Association in Australia totally dedicated to the needs and aspirations of Anglo-Indians.
