Since its establishment in February 1992, Aussie has grown with its finance and mortgage broking operations now spanning all mainland capital cities and major regional centres.

Aussie has won Mortgage Broker of the Year six years in a row (2008-2013) as well as the Best Advertising, Marketing and Promotional Campaign 2012 and Best Career Development Program 2012 at the Australian Banking and Finance Magazine annual awards.

Following the acquisition of Wizard Home Loans in February 2009, and boutique wholesale mortgage aggregator nMB in 2012, Aussie now has a loan book currently worth almost $55 billion, with more than 240,000 customers being serviced 24 hours a day, seven days a week by Aussie’s lending force of over 750 mortgage brokers across Franchise and Mobile channels. There are also an additional 150 plus mortgage brokers who form part of our nMB offering.

In 2012, CBA increased its stake in Aussie to 80%, but Aussie continues to operate as a standalone business.

The launch of the Aussie’s national mortgage broking service in 2002 continued the group’s evolution, history of innovation and adaptation to change in the Australian home lending industry.

Aussie’s accredited Mortgage Brokers offer home loans from a panel of lenders, including the big banks, while also offering Aussie Home Loans’ own suite of loan products.

Using the company’s proprietary laptop computer system, Toolbox, they provide an objective comparison of the loans to find exactly the right loan, based on an analysis of customers’ specific needs and preferences.

In addition to the home visits, Aussie is quickly expanding its retail program with 150 plus stores now operating in city and regional areas.

The franchised retail stores offer a complete home finance advisory service, a huge selection of competitively priced home loans and advice for customers about how they could save thousands of dollars off their home loans.
