How It Works…

The unit works by teaming the GPS collar and an Australian SIM card together (supplied). This is easily done with the included instructions. The unit uses dual positioning processing of GPS satellites to position itself to within 5m accuracy, however if the unit is in bushland, forest, tunnels or under cars which block out GPS signals it also gets its position by using cellular network A-GPS. Therefore you will always be able to track your pet (or anything) no matter where it is hiding.

The unit tracks in real time and allows the user to use specific PC software or apps installed on mobile devices (FREE for PC, iPhone & Android) to view where the receiver is at any time. By using GPRS data (VERY LOW COST to the user/sim card) the unit sends basic information (position, battery level, GPS information & speed) which is used to track the receiver in real time giving position updates every 5 seconds.

GeoFence is a fantastic feature of these units, if your pet has been known to go walk-about and escape this feature will be a delight. It enables the user to set a specific position (eg middle of your backyard/home) and then set a desired radius to be the safe zone for the pet. If the pet moves outside of this circle ‘safe zone’ then an SMS message is sent to the emergency number set up with the collar (your mobile number). This way you are notified when the pet escapes and you can track where it is going to in real time. This function is also great for tracking people you do not want to leave a certain area.
