A fresh and bright modern Australian bar and restaurant, John Parker’s mission for Arthouse was to complement its location within the vibrant, evolving Perth Cultural Centre and establish an atmosphere, design and flexible offering to satisfy a range of patrons and needs; a takeaway coffee and croissant en route, a lunch break with colleagues, a pre/post theatre or gallery meal with friends, a rewarding vino, catering for private and corporate functions, or a reviving pitstop during city festivals and creative events.
Design-wise, Arthouse is fresh and light by day, with greenery, revolving artwork and a glittery, oversized disco ball (courtesy of AGWA’s archives). By night, Arthouse warms with coral lighting, orange candlelight, and floating coloured shards from the rotating mirror-ball.
Chase Weber (The Standard) has overseen the Arthouse menu which is executed by newly appointed Head Chef, Jared Hargreaves. Parker likes to take on the drinks side, which, as usual, is a taut hitlist of up-and-comers and locals. Helmed and managed by Patty Kasprzak (ex-The Standard), Arthouse looks set to dig in its heels to become another unique, snappy staple for Northbridge and the city
