Artback NT

Artback NT delivers art to and from regional and remote areas - we link communities, empower artists, present quality cultural experiences and facilitate local and national outcomes.

Covering a landscape of over 1.3 million square kilometres, Artback NT ignites sparks in a creative Northern Territory. Delivering artistic programs that incorporate uniquely Territory stories across the breadth of the Territory, Artback NT’s multi-art form program (visual arts, music, performing arts and Indigenous traditional dance) sees the organisation represented with offices in Darwin, Alice Springs and Borroloola.

In 2015, Artback NT travelled over 186,000 kilometres delivering 167 arts activities nationally across 22 locations, reaching audiences of 142,700 across its four programs. The organisation presented 76 workshops and facilitated 41 school events, while employed a total of 252 Indigenous artists and arts workers.

Artback NT has activated creative participation across the Territory for 21 years and continues to promote excellence and advocate for NT artists at a national level.
