I have been working with children for the past 15 years, mainly as a primary school teacher. I lived in London for eight of those years, where I taught four and five year olds and absolutely loved it! Upon moving back to Australia in 2010, I wished to continue to work with children under five, so I embarked on further university studies and earned my Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching from Macquarie University in Sydney. I now have two years experience teaching in early childhood settings and have decided this is the age group I enjoy the most, as they are definitely the most fun!

As well as my two university degrees, I also have all the relevant medical qualifications; Senior First Aid, Response in an Education and Care Setting, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Child Protection and a current Working With Children Check.

I also advocate for healthy eating and will be attending 'Munch and Move' training later this year. This will assist me in implementing this Government initiative and promoting healthy lifestyles for the children in my care.

I am committed to ensuring children receive the best possible care and education in a safe environment that stimulates their senses and encourages all aspects of learning. I have set up my play spaces with brand new educational resources to reflect and encourage this type of learning.

I also feel that parents play an exceptionally important role in their child’s education. I always endeavour to promote strong relationships with families and know that this combined approach to children’s learning and development is the most beneficial.
