Alloway Farm Market

At the start of 2009 the Emerick family entered our third generation of farming, setting up M&E Hydro Tomato Growers (QLD) Pty Ltd.

Making the move from Gatton in the Lockyer Valley, Queensland, we relocated to Bundaberg in 1994 to produce crops of field grown tomatoes trading under the label of RedRidge.

In 2003 we built one hectare of greenhouse to grow vine-ripened truss tomatoes along with a small avocado orchard of 1600 trees. Since then we have planted a further 500 avocado trees and now lease an additional farm in South Kolan, Queensland. In 2011 we began producing a winter fig crop grown in our greenhouse to complement our outdoor summer crop. With both indoor and outdoor production we are able to supply fresh Australian figs year round to our customers.

We market a variety of products such as RedRidge Hydroponic Tomatoes, RedRidge Figs, RedRidge Cherry Tomatoes, RedRidge Avocados and Forbidden Figsâ„¢.

With our passion for fresh produce we have decided to open our very own Alloway Farm Market to the public!
