Alive Crusade

The ALIVE Crusade is a Melbourne based Not- for Profit organisation registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC).
Alive Crusade is primarily dedicated to raising funds to build and sustain a WORLD FIRST Alive Centre. This centre will be focused solely on the treatment of Anxiety and Depression with the aim to reduce Suicide in the community. What makes this centre unique you might ask? The Alive Centre will incorporate an Inpatient and an Outpatient service and Drop in or Drop by environment. And component’s will be delivered and driven from a holistic wrap around philosophy. The overall objective being to guide and support people towards Wellness.
The inpatient clinic will tick all of the clinical requirements without the clinical feel. We envisage our centre as being a retreat as opposed to a Hospital. It will be manned by Alive ‘likeminded’ Mental Health qualified General Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Counsellors and Social Workers. The intention is to provide a service that is available to people who cannot afford to attend a private service and will seek to alleviate pressure on surrounding mental health services. The Alive Centre will provide a focused and more importantly, an appropriate environment for those suffering with anxiety and/or depression to recover, to find help and to be kept safe. Strongly aligning with the concepts of ’No Closed Door’ and ‘No Wrong Door’ ‘the Alive Centre will be a place where the door is never closed to those who are in need regardless of the level of support a client needs during recovery . The Alive centre practioners will be people who can deliver on the concept of ‘No Wrong Door’ using the gesture of the ‘Warm Hand-Off’ All of the Alive Mental Health services that are available in the Inpatient Service can continue to be available for our clients as outpatients too. Whether you need the support of our Mental Health practitioners in individual therapy or group therapy or maybe yoga or mindfulness and meditation classes to maintain a healthy mindset. All of this, as well as Education and Training programs in life skills (Nutrition, Mental Health First Aid, Health and Fitness) will be available to our clients.
Families and Carers will also find the support they need at The Alive Centre.
If you are ready to give back by volunteering in the veggie garden or library or you are simply a community member who would like to support the centre by joining the gym. The ALIVE CENTRE will be the place to be.
The Alive centre dream is bodacious and it is happening. We will take on governments if we need to, cut through red tape, we will find the right people who share in the dedication to our dream. We are already smashing our fundraising targets, making business contacts, building the right relationships. Can you see it? Because we can! We, the Alive Crusaders WILL build this place for you, for your best friend, your neighbour, your mum, your dad, your little brother, your niece any of your people ……………….
Together we will raise awareness, we will breakdown the stigmas, we will make sure that everyone understands that depression and anxiety are not weaknesses and that it really is okay to say, I am not okay!
