Alien Inn

As some of you are aware, Ali and I have experienced some significant life challenges in the last two years. Rather than stamp the feet and curl up in the corner as I have seen some do, I have taken the gloves off and started my own company called "Alien-Inn".

Alien-Inn is a small, locally focused, Braidwood NSW, Computer Support entity designed to take on all those jobs shoved in the corner because the bigger computer shops don't see anything in it for them. At this stage, I run after hours and on the weekends predominantly as a result of a full time career in the public service, but you can expect the support to be 100% focused on my client's needs. The odd hours present some challenges, but when you are doing what you are passionate about, who needs sleep.

Alien Inn will be providing support for:

> Data sanitisation and recovery from the desktop pc to small business servers;
> Virus removal and system security consulting;
> Upgrades to Windows 10 and Server 2012, and support for any of the Microsoft products. I have become a Microsoft Partner to assist this but it is early days.;
> Desktop, Server, and infrastructure enterprise design, solution engineering, and system integration;
> Small Business Consulting, and business process mapping;
> The list goes on so feel free to ask. If I can, I will, if I can't, I probably know someone who can.

I will be looking for partnerships for a few other hardware and software vendors for computer components, data recovery and system security so if you have any particular software you need support for, let me know so I can explore their options as well.

It is early days yet but we are also looking into how Alien Inn supports IBM's Watson super computer systems.

As far as the small business management components are concerned, I have a draft business plan and concept of operations underway, an accountant in service, invoices generating via my MYOB subscription, and will be looking at Commonwealth Bank of Australia as my preferred business bank since they have provided so much support from since I was a youngster. Loyalty is everything in my books so feel free to share the love.
