Ah Mei Cafe takes inspiration from the Asian coffee shops of the 60's & 70's. Our authentic Peranakan or Nonya cuisine combines Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, Indian and other influences into a unique blend of cooking.
Peranakans are descendants of early Chinese migrants who settled in Penang, Malacca, Indonesia and Singapore. Creating a fusion of Asian cultures, the old Malay word 'Nonya', a term of respect and affection meaning 'Auntie', has come to refer to the cuisine of the Peranakans.
Ah Mei Cafe signature dishes include Indian roti prata, mie goreng mamak, Singapore style fried kuey teow, Hainan chicken rice, laksa, Indonesian style bakmie, nasi kuning and nasi goreng kampung.
Ah Mei Cafe invites you to experience the true taste of Asia.
