~ What is Adventure with Alef ~

Adventure with Alef is an Alef Bet program teaching english speaking children the Hebrew letters. It uses the best proven learning method – mnemonics and presents each Hebrew letter with the most beautiful and simulating designs that children (and adults) will instantly remember and love. It's been tested in the classrooms and the results have spoken for themselves.

~ What are Mnemonics and how are they used in Adventure with Alef. ~

Mnemonics are memory aids that help learners recall information. Adventure with Alef uses Mnemonics by associating similar looking and sounding english objects or ideas to the Hebrew letters. This enables children to remember their letters the first time, every time.
Adventure with Alef is unique as it does not alter or obscure the letters ensuring the letters maintain their name and identity. See examples in the below image.

~ The History & why use Adventure With Alef ~

In 2011 Hebrew Gems of Chabad Glen Eira in Melbourne Australia began and set out to teach Jewish students in Melbourne who did not attend a Jewish Day School, Hebrew and Jewish Studies.

Being a weekly program it was understandable that some students were failing to recall their Hebrew letters from the previous week, and the methods used in Jewish day schools, daily, were not enough for a weekly Hebrew School.

So, the Adventure with Alef program was born and the results were extraordinary, with students recalling their letters immediately and in a matter of weeks mastering the Alef Bet.

With the power of apps and technology we are now sharing it with the world, our hope is to make the Hebrew learning experience for children of Hebrew Schools, Jewish day schools and home, an exciting, enjoyable and swift experience with Adventure with Alef's revolutionary fun and vibrant Mnemonics curriculum.
