Artwork that reflects your personal vision … Artist, Frans Kat can create a unique, artistic, glass work for your architectural setting, whether it is a front door surround, window, glass screen, door panel or a piece of wall art, in fact any space for which you have a vision.

My approach… I approach each new project with a view to the architectural features of your building. Some of the most important factors I consider are the effect of light on the functionality and aesthetic characteristics of that space. Light that may be transmitted or reflected by my glass work and how that light can influence the atmosphere of that space. For more than thirty-five years I have designed many hundreds of artistic glass windows for all manner of styles of interiors.

I have designed for homes, public buildings and churches, in styles ranging from the traditional to the very contemporary. My technical expertise, gained from years of experience as well as my studies at the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgium and the Academy of Art, Maastricht in the Netherlands, has given me a broad technical scope to design and create something new and original.

Specialising in the techniques of kiln-fired glass painting and staining, etching, laminating and fused glass, to mention but a few, I have the means by which virtually any image or concept can be brought to life. Your own personal vision and your aesthetic values will be reflected in some of the unique artistic solutions which I can provide.
