Academy Sheetmetal was established in 1995 and is a locally operated business owned by Greg Marks with operation manager Lee Osland overseeing all operational activities. The business is a very much close knit family run business employing over 20 staff.

With vast and extensive experience, focused on metal fabrication, Academy Sheetmetal caters for the needs of Construction, Commercial & Domestic as well as the Manufacturing industries in Newcastle and Hunter Valley area and has had recent success gaining business in the Sydney and South Coast markets.

Having grown steadily over the past nine years, Academy Sheetmetal have three core areas of specialisation:

1.Sheet Metal Folding: vast expertise in the area of manufacturing custom made metal flashings up to 8 metres in a large range of metals including Colourbond Standard & Ultra colours, Stainless Steel both “304” & “316” & Copper. We have a range of 36 different colours in stock as well as the specialised materials.
2.Light to Medium Sheetmetal & Steel Fabrication: from manufacturing sheetmetal doors and components for the shed industry to fabricating components for the mining industry with a very diverse fabrication workshop, well supported by 4 tradesmen and 4 apprentices and we are committed to training trades people for not only our own needs but for the industry in general
3.Profile Cutting both Plasma and Oxy: Academy Sheetmetal is committed to continue growth in this area and indeed have spent many thousands of dollars upgrading equipment in this area. We have the capability to cut materials from 1mm to 25 mm with precise accuracy controlled by precision computer controlled programs as well as highly trained operators and programmers.

Academy Sheetmetal are also suppliers of roofing and rainwater gutters and downpipes etc. and needed have recently taken up the environmental challenge of locally manufactured metal “water tanks” running extensive advertising campaigns to encourage fellow Novocastrians to consider the not so insignificant contribution we can all make to the environment by installing a water tank.

Academy Sheetmetal is committed to using local businesses to support its growth and only use Australian Manufactured Metals in fabrication where possible.
