Hiking club enjoying multi-day hikes carrying packs & camping, day walks, and other activities, near Adelaide, SA & interstate.
If you enjoy the outdoors, are moderately fit and interested in trying multi-day hiking, we would encourage you to come along to one of our meetings and find out more about us. Adelaide Bushwalkers welcomes members of all ages. The club holds regular two day hikes over weekends and day walks, and makes good use of long weekends to do a variety of trips further afield. Other outdoor activities and social events are held throughout the year. Gear hire at reasonable rates is available, to allow beginners to "try before they buy".
The easiest way to learn more about ABW is to come along when we convene in the North Adelaide Community Centre, situated at 176 Tynte Street, North Adelaide. The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month to enjoy a presentation (by a guest speaker), or to consider reports and issues pertaining to the club. Each meeting begins at 8pm with an announcement of forthcoming activities, followed by a break to organise arrangements (particularly transport) where appropriate (thus members unable to stay may subsequently leave quickly.) During this break the Membership Secretary can answer any membership questions you may have.
