Introduction of the Counsellor
My name is Kylie and I work using an integrative model of counselling, this means I use my knowledge of various therapeutic models during our time together, this gives me the freedom and flexibility to work in a way which best suits you as an individual. I work flexibly with an emphasis on creating a warm and non-judgemental relationship where you can freely express and explore your thoughts and feelings. By working together in a safe and secure environment we can examine what is concerning you and causes you distress. Together we can identify and understand possible areas to look at more closely. My aim is to assist you to see your life more clearly and to help you make choices and decisions.
I undertake regular one to one supervision and attend professional development events. I also engage in regular training to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

Diploma in Counselling threw AIPC, I currently work as a Team Leader in Mental Health and have done so since 2012.

I also volunteer as a Lifeline Crisis Telephone Counsellor.
Feb 2016 I started my Diploma in (CBT) Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Meaning of the word Counselling: “the process of assisting and guiding clients, especially by a trained person on a professional basis, to resolve especially personal, social, or psychological problems and difficulties.”
