132nd Australian Army Cadet Unit Yeppoon

The 132nd Army Cadet Unit (ACU) is based in Yeppoon, Queensland, Australia. It is part of the North Queensland Cadet Brigade, and is part of 80 Battalion. 80 Battalion has taken home the best battalion for the past 3 years.

The Australian Army Cadets (AAC) is a youth organisation that is involved with progressive training of youths in military and adventurous activities. The programme has more than 14,000 Army Cadets between the ages of 12 and 19 based in 224 units around Australia. The motto is "Courage, Initiative, respect and Teamwork".

Activities of the Army Cadets include navigation and orienteering, fun games, team buildings games, camps, ceremonial drill, radio communication skills, basic bush skills, equipment maintenance, participation in cadet bands, and shooting the Australian Defense Force Service Rifle, the F88 Austeyr with one-on-one Army supervision.

Australian Army Cadets aim to be inclusive of all young people and staff, including those with disabilities, health conditions and allergies. All reasonable steps will be taken to include any person whose individual circumstances may necessitate special consideration in cadet unit activities, provided such steps do not jeopardize the safety or cadet experience of others.
