When travelling the Great Ocean Road be prepared, just because it is a major tourism attraction does not mean you will find MacDonald galore, Coles or Woolworths scattered along the way. Locally ran convenient stores with locally sourced food, drinks and souvenirs are more the GOR's (Great Ocean Road) style.

Also grab fuel when and were you can, there are NO 24 hour service stations and the locally ran fuel stations that are around do not stay open past 5/6 pm.


If you are seeking traditional country Australia, then Princetown is your place! Paddocks filled with cows are scattered everywhere and the small population of around 500 people commit their lives to dairy and beef farming.
