Higuma Alpine Retreat is Australia's Largest Handcrafted Log Home located in Merrijig, the town and surrounds where the Man from Snowy River was originally filmed. The three story luxury residence is spread across 70 squares of unique indoor and outdoor living space.

There are 7 bedrooms, 3 of which are private and 4 which are available to guests. Guests have access to separate bathrooms. There are 3 large living zones with high quality comfortable lounges, 2 with large flat screen TVs - one area has theatre seating. There is a quality Billiard Table, expansive outdoor deck spaces with lounges, a BBQ, arcade and pinball machines for fun, lots of books and magazines from a large library to read. High quality Bose sound systems play music inside and outside the entire house.

Heating during winter comes through toasty slab heating on the ground floor, and 2 coonara wood heaters on level 2. Cooling in summer comes from a large evaporative cooling unit.

For your Summer retreat, you can relax around and swim in the new 12metre solar heated salt water pool.

In winter, the Mt Buller gates are only 5 minutes drive.
