Gertrude and the King

Gertrude and the King is the brain child of mother and daughter team, Sandra and Kate.

The story began when Sandra was inspired by her daughters shopping woes for their new babies. They struggled to find stylish and practical soft sole shoes and bibs that fit well.

Sandra learnt there was a need for stylish, classic and of course practical designs when it came to accessories for babies and toddlers, with priority being placed on natural fibres where possible.

Gertrude and the King now bring parents a curated collection of high quality baby and toddler soft sole shoes, luxe bibs and headbands - Classic and timeless designs with a modern twist. The collection is a combination of handmade by Sandra and ethically made (after a while Sandra needed some help, sewing GK shoes was keeping her up waaaay past her bedtime!).
