At the age of 25, Walter achieved 18 out of 19 points and three Chef’s Hats in his own restaurant, Gasthof Post in Austria, before joining the triple-Michelin-star restaurateur Marco Pierre White as Head Chef of his restaurant group.
After growing up in Austria, Walter perfected his craft working in 2- and 3-Michelin-star restaurants around Europe.
In 2002, Walter moved to Melbourne, Australia when he was appointed Head Chef at Langton’s Restaurant and Wine Bar in Flinders Lane. During his time there, the Australian Newspaper voted Langton’s one of the top five restaurants in Australia.
In 2011, Trupp Cooking School was established providing a wide range of hands on classes to the community. Walter has developed his now-acclaimed skills as a cooking teacher, focusing on food appreciation and home cooking and generally satisfying his deep interest in bio dynamics and organics.
2017, Walter Trupp aims to now bring the chef into your kitchen providing chefs eye view on- line cooking classes with recipes that are highly nutritional, quick & easy to prepare, budget friendly and tasty.
