Why did you remove my photograph?
We love receiving your photographs and sharing them with others. However, sometimes we need to remove an image.
If images posted on this page feature sacred sites, objects or images we will be obliged, as joint managers of the park, to take them down.
For the park’s traditional owners, Anangu, an essential part of 'keeping the law straight' involves ensuring that knowledge is not imparted to the wrong people. For example, some sacred sites may only be viewed by women, others by men, and some only by certain senior traditional owners. Under traditional law, Anangu care for these places as non-Aboriginal religions care for their churches, sacred precincts and relics.
Under the direction of the park’s management plan, we will also remove images of the climb.
