The Tasmania University Union (TUU) was founded in 1899, and is one of the oldest unions in Australia. It has served students for 114 years, providing advocacy and support. Today, it is the peak representative body for students at the University of Tasmania.
The TUU provides vital, independent services including; student representation, student advocates, protection of students rights, student welfare and equity, student collectives, publications, clubs and societies, events and also aids university governance structure.

The TUU has offices across the state, in Hobart, Burnie and Launceston.
