Transition to Work Impact Bundaberg

Transition to Work is a service that supports young people aged 15 to 21 years old on their journey to employment. We ensure a strong focus on practical support and work experience to build a young person’s skills, confidence and readiness to help them engage in employment.
For Young people the Transition to Work service will have a strong focus on helping you to understand what is expected in the workplace and to develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours expected by employers. We will offer support in areas such as:
developing practical skills to get a job
connecting with education or training
finding and participating in work experience opportunities
identifying employment opportunities in the local area
connecting with relevant local community services.
Employers will receive a quality employment service that ensures young people meet their needs for their specific business type, and thatall new young employees are supported to settle into the job.
Employers may be able to access a youth wage subsidy (for eligible young people) of up to $6,500 over 12 months to help take on new starters, such as hiring or training costs.
We will also offer post placement support that includes regular contact to ensure the young person is settling in and that your expectations are being met.
