The Polish Place

To all our customers, guests, visitors, suppliers, contractors, and friends…on the 31st December, 2016, a fire engulfed our restaurant and premises, and as a result we are not longer trading…for now.

We are overwhelmed with the support from everyone around the world, we were so proud to provide a touch of Poland on Tamborine Mountain, QLD, Australia. We hope to do so again in the future. For now, we will continue to update this page and our instagram page with memories, progress and updates.

A bit of history...

Since 1983, Phil & Ania invite you to The Polish Place and experience stunning views to the west, magnificent sunsets, authentic tastes of Poland, Polish folk art and genuine hospitality. Our chalet accommodation opened in 1990, famous for its Polish timber interior, sweeping views to the west, and double spa in the lounge. Our restaurant is authentic Polish cuisine, with Ania Sowter making and overseeing all Polish cuisine served in the restaurant. An extensive Polish beer and vodka list was popular, with many guests enjoying Polish beverages whilst enjoying the sunsets and views to the west.

Our Roast Duck with Cherries has become our signature dish. Winners of many awards, including Restaurant & Caterer's Award for Excellence for "BEST EUROPEAN RESTAURANT" on the Gold Coast in 2010, 2011 and 2012!
