The Space

Enjoy a double bed and optional double bed sofa complete with warm bedding and a hot water bottle. Also in the cabin is a small dining table which can double as a work space, a tv with remote, DVD player, free WiFi, board games, a book swap shelf, private shower, toilet and washing line including outdoor chairs for you to enjoy your surroundings.

Described by previous guests as a peaceful, cosy, warm haven with lots of character, we can't wait to welcome you to experience The Hideaway too!

Interaction with Guests

We are available at any time to accommodate your needs and for a small fee are happy to assist you arriving and departing to and from The Hideaway.

The Neighbourhood

Penguin is in our opinion the most beautiful coastal town with the friendliest community in the North-West of Tasmania.

Getting Around

The Hideaway is a 20 minute walk to town where you can find everything you need; supermarkets, various cafes & restaurants, chemist, bakery and gift shops. If going by foot let us know and we'll show you our private short-cut into town.

Other Things to Note

Kitchen facilities are basic at this stage, we have a microwave for cooking, a toaster, a kettle for coffee & tea (provided), fridge/freezer and crockery.
For a small fee we are happy to put a load of washing on for you with your own private hanging space outside the cabin.
