The Great Australian Olive Oil Store is a 100% Australian owned and operated family business located within the confines of the historic Bendigo Pottery. We have a passion for extra virgin olive oil and its nutritional qualities. As such, we seek to sell only the best extra virgin olive oil and related products sourced fresh from farms and groves in the local vicinity.

Our two favourite extra virgin olive oils are our own Liquid Gold and Maldon Olive Oil.

Liquid Gold Olive Oil
Liquid Gold Olive Oil is The Great Australian Olive Oil Store's own brand. It has been uniquely created from a blend of the very best extra virgin olive oils produced this season from olive groves located in the Bendigo region.
It is a beautifully rich and fulsome olive oil with a wonderful bouquet and flavour.

We actually thought we came up with the term "Liquid Gold" but wikipedia reports that:
"Homer called it 'liquid gold'. In ancient Greece, athletes ritually rubbed it all over their bodies. Olive oil has been more than mere food to the peoples of the Mediterranean: it has been medicinal, magical, an endless source of fascination and wonder and the fountain of great wealth and power."

Maldon Olive Oil
This beautiful olive oil starts its life at Lakeshore Olive Grove which is a boutique olive grove of 200 acres sitting on the banks of Lake Cairn Curran located just outside the hamlet of Maldon in the heart of the Victorian Goldfields. Maldon began as a gold rush town in 1854 with the discovery of alluvial gold and retains an authentic pioneer-like appearance to this day.

Lakeshore Olive Grove produces Maldon Olive Oil, our premier brand. It is a family-run affair, lovingly tending the 3,000 olive trees which produce an absolutely exceptional Picual extra virgin olive oil which is soft and fruity on the palate and perfect for salads and pasta dishes. The grove also produces a range of other extra virgin olive oils which are blended together to produce truly elegant and stylish olive oils.
