The Girls & Boys Brigade

For over 125 years The Girls & Boys Brigade, has provided a welcoming place for children and youth who need a helping hand. We are dedicated to providing quality education, recreation and life skills activities.
Our consistent and practical approach helps the enrolled children and youth become better equipped to deal positively with life's challenges.

The Girls & Boys Brigade is:

Registered as a public benevolent institution charity
A public company limited by Guarantee
Managed by a Board of Directors
A deductible gift recipient
The holder of a fundraising authority from the Officer of Liquor, Gaming and Racing
Funded by donations and investment income with no Government funding
Today our Centre in Surry Hills:

Caters daily for up to 80 children and youth aged 5-18 years
Records on average 17,000 attendances each year
Has over 300 children and youth enrolled from more than 20 cultural backgrounds
Operates over 320 days a year
