Pronounced Sh-petz-lah.
Traditionally found in Southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Spaetzle is mainly used instead of common pasta and is considered to be a Swabian specialty. The recipe, and the way Spaetzle is made, is handed down through generations of families. The name literally translates as "little sparrows" and there has been mention of Spaetzle found in documents dating as far back as 1725. We have now developed a delicious gluten free fresh spaetzle - contact us for details of how to purchase or try it.
