Surrey Springs Gypsy Cobs was established in 2004 when we purchased the Gypsy Cob colt Tom of Brackenhill and the Gypsy Cob fillies Tia and Brackenhill Domino.

What ever you desire to do, the Gypsy Cob is the perfect companion or weekend pleasure mount with a temperament that is world renowned coupled with great intelligence and a willingness to work they are a perfect choice for a versatile family horse

We honestly believed that this breed was really going to win over the hearts and minds of Australians and time has proven it true.

It is impossible to meet one of these horses and not fall instantly in love. Once you have met one there is no going back, you just have to have your own. We have been told that one is never enough, they are an addiction that you just can’t shake.


Gypsy Cobs are one of the worlds most versatile breeds, there’s nothing they won't try. Gypsy Cobs have a lot of agility and powers of endurance, we have even heard of them succeeding in mounted games and stock work. One mare in Europe who was destined for the slaughter house at the grand old age of 26, went on to not only compete in, but win a marathon!
