Southport Surf Life Saving Club was established in 1924, one of the largest and oldest clubs in Queensland. Our Lifesavers patrol Main Beach on the northernmost end of the Gold Coast. Many of our supporters and members are from Brisbane; a tradition stemming from our ideal location.
Southport SLSC was one of the first clubs in Queensland to establish a Junior Activities section. There are currently over 300 Nippers participating in regular training sessions and regional competitions each Sunday over summer.
Our senior club proudly supports over 200 patrolling volunteers who hold the honourable record of "no lives lost between the flags" while on patrol.
