Georgia Poletti Moulds has worked in a variety of music education and community singing leadership roles. Georgia is passionate about the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and stories to bring and bind people together.
Georgia has a great appreciation for the Kodaly and Orff approaches to music education. Orff Schulwerk is based on things children naturally like to do such as sing, chant rhymes, dance, clap, etc. This play is channelled into learning music by hearing and making music first, then reading and writing it later.
Georgia’s music classes are based on the Orff approach. There is lots of singing, body percussion, playing on a variety of both tuned and untuned instruments, movement and dancing, and speech activities to encourage active music making.
Georgia is a classically trained vocalist who studied at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Georgia also has her Level One Accreditation from the Australian National Council of Orff Schulwerk.
